Jon Gorman is from the Boston, MA area where he grew up, worked and taught as a musician until 8 years ago. He relocated to Nashville, TN in 2019 to continue both teaching and performing in a new city with an active music scene. He continues to perform and teach regularly there and in the surrounding central TN area.

Jon played several instruments while growing up, including the Cello and Saxophone. After High School, he attended and graduated from the Berklee College of Music. He also holds 2 additional Masters Degrees and began work on a PhD. Jon has been teaching music for 30 years now, often teaching between 20-30 hours of students a week - specializing in teaching beginners and children. He also works with adult and advanced students, especially on guitar! Some of his students have also gone on to graduate from Berklee and attend other music schools. His performing activities primarily focus on Blues related music, the influence of Jazz music on the Blues, as well as songwriting and singing.
